The Department of Chemical Engineering, School of Engineering at Shiv Nadar University gives PhD in following specialization
Process Engineering and Intensification, Water Pollution, Multiphase Flows, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Modelling and Simulation, Microfluidics and Microreactors, Film Formation in Water Based Dispersions; Applications of Ionic Liquids in Chemical Industry, Reactive Separations, Process Control, etc.
The department is also engaged in interdisciplinary work with research groups spanning across all the schools at SNU.
Program requirement
Students entering PhD programme in chemical engineering requires to complete 12 credits of course work.
Eligibility
First Division in M.E./ M.Tech./ M.Sc. or equivalent master’s degree in relevant discipline from a recognized Technical Institute or University. A good score in GATE or CSIR -UGC NET-JRF is desirable. Their final selection will be subjected to their result at the time of admission.
Selection Process
Of all the applications received, the candidates will be shortlisted based on eligibility criteria mentioned above. Eligibility criteria mentioned above are minimum standards and applications not meeting the same and incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. Please note that not all candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria may be shortlisted.
There will be a written test for the shortlisted candidates. The successful candidates would then appear for a departmental technical interview on the same day. The written tests and interview will be conducted at Shiv Nadar University (SNU) campus in Gautam Buddha Nagar District (near Greater Noida), U.P.
