The IIChE student chapter has been opened under the mentorship of IIChE Northern Region Center (NRC), Delhi. It is aimed at promoting Chemical Engineering among students. The student chapter has organized several talks and lectures on regular basis from eminent speakers from industry as well as academia on topics relevant to chemical engineering. The stduent chapter has also organized the one-day industrial visit to Narora Atomic Power Station (NAPS) and National Fertilizers Limited (NFL), Panipat plant. The student chapter is run by students. To become member of IIChE student chapter, a chemical engineering student from any year has to apply for IIChE student membership at concessional rates valid for whole course duration. The student chapter also promotes the students to attend various talks/ seminars/ workshops etc. organized by IIChE outside SNU at concessional rates or for free.
